Within the 162 deals analyzed, disclosed M&A transactions revealed a median deal size of $32M. Deal values ranged widely, from a minimum of $10,000 to a maximum of $24.3 billion. Valuation multiples, as measured by EV/Sales, showed a median of 2.7 times, with a range from 0.3 times to 6.7 times. Public peer comparisons indicated an EV/Sales of 1.47 times and an EV/EBITDA of 13.1 times. Also, 59% of sellers used a SaaS business model, and at least 20% were developing deep technologies, such as AI, leaving ample room for growth on these fronts.
